Mr Nguyen, after having founded Dzungsrt & Associates LLC in 1997, now become one of the leading dispute resolution law firms in Vietnam, has established ADR Vietnam Chambers LLC, a new platform for independent arbitrators and mediators in Vietnam.

Mr Nguyen was an editorial member of the Drafting Committees of the Act on Commercial Arbitration of Vietnam in 2010, the Governmental Decree no. 22/CP on commercial mediation and the guiding documents, and Civil Procedure Code 2015 on recognising and enforcing foreign arbitral awards and mediated settlement agreements. He was the co-founder and vice president of the Pacific International Arbitration Center (PIAC) and then a deputy director of the Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC). He was later listed as arbitrator of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC), the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB International) and Hainan International Arbitration Court (HIAC), Shanghai Arbitration Committee (SHAC) of China, as well as an accredited mediator on the panels of Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC), Mainland Hongkong joint mediation centre (MHJMC), Japan International Mediation Center of Japan (JIMC Kyoto) and HIAC International Mediation Center of China.

He obtained his first degree in law from Hanoi University of Law in 1990, was trained on shipping law by solicitors of Sinclair Roche & Temperley, a London shipping law firm from 1993-1997 and then got his LL.M specialised in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary, the University of London, in 2008. He has extensively published articles, papers and book chapters on arbitration, mediation and international dispute resolution practice in Vietnam and is regularly invited to speak and lecture on international arbitration at various academic forums in Vietnam and overseas.
